Understanding the relationship between UNECE WP.29 R155 and ISO/SAE 21434
As the automotive industry has been reshaping itself in recent years with a greater focus on software and connectivity, automotive cybersecurity has become a critical concern. Two key aspects are shaping the landscape: UNECE WP.29 R155 and ISO/SAE 21434. But how do they relate to each other?
UNECE WP.29 R155, a regulation issued by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in January 2021, mandates cybersecurity compliance for vehicle type approval in certain countries, effective July 2022. Published in August 2021, ISO/SAE 21434 establishes a widely recognized cybersecurity standard for the design and engineering of electrical and electronic (E/E) systems in road vehicles.
This webinar will discuss the relationship between UNECE R155 and ISO/SAE 21434. We will explore:
The purpose and requirements of UNECE R155, emphasizing the mandated Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS)
How ISO/SAE 21434 provides a framework for building a compliant CSMS
Watch this recording to gain a clear understanding of these requirements and how they work together.
