Deploying APQP, PPAP and Zero Defects in a Large Tier 1, Subsidiaries and Supply Chain
The initial project involved the the US and Canadian branches of a multinational global leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of engine systems to the worldwide aerospace and defense industry. Almost immediately, the project scope grew to encompass all the tier-1’s aerospace & defense divisions.
At the outset, there was no aerospace industry standard for APQP and PPAP; so Omnex was invited to join in the effort to develop a new approach to be deployed to the global aerospace supply base. Omnex’s initial challenge was to develop a training solution to support this deployment, one that could be provided equally effectively to the internal divisions’ Supplier Quality resources to oversee PPAP, as well as to its suppliers, to help enable them to understand and be able to successfully meet the APQP/PPAP requirements being demanded of them by their customer, while adding valuable bottom line impact to their own organizations.
Read this case study to know how Omnex has led in the adoption and effective use of the APQP/PPAP risk management systems, methods, and enhancements to the aerospace NPI processes, with an impact in improved performance across a broad swath of the industry.
